The Original Tokyo Rose was formed in the Summer of 1980 by Derek Buckham and Val Ophield in the North East of England. Buckham penned the original material whilst Ophield sang and created the unique 80's image. By June 81 it was necessary to register our Band Name and the Songs as the strong image was starting to influence a series of copy bands
